Dieser Neubau wurde auf einem bereits bebauten Grundstück platziert. Vor dem Baubeginn stand nur das Haus der Großmutter der Bauherrin dort. Alt und Neu bilden hier eine Symbiose und sind Beispiel dafür, wie drei Generationen gemeinsam neben- und miteinander wohnen. Das 3-geschossige Wohnhaus wurde in die vorgefundene Topographie eingefügt. Orientiert an den baurechtlichen Vorgaben fügen sich die beiden gegeneinander verschobenen Kuben in das Grundstück ein – der rechte Kubus mit Pultdach, der linke Gebäudeteil mit Flachdach übernimmt die Höhe des Bestandsgebäudes. Der Entwurf macht sich den steilen Geländeverlauf zunutze und ermöglicht aus dem Gartengeschoss (Kinderbereich) direkt in den Garten zu gehen. Im nicht belichteten Teil des Untergeschosses sind Technik und Kellerräume untergebracht. Die „Fuge“ trennt die beiden Kuben und dient der Erschließung des Gebäudes. Im EG, das von der Straße aus ebenerdig erschlossen wird, befindet sich der zentrale Wohn- und Essbereich der Familie. Vom überhöhten OG aus, in dem das Elternschlafzimmer, ein Bad und ein Arbeitszimmer Platz finden, ist der Zugang zur nach Süden ausgerichteten Dachterrasse möglich.
