Es galt, ein neues Besucherzentrum zu entwerfen. Die zu bearbeitende Landschaft, das Feld ist das Arbeitsgebiet der Traktoren und Mähdrescher. Das Gebäude soll an Ackerfurchen erinnern. Der Bezug zu seiner Arbeitsgrundlage schafft die bodenständige Identifikation beim Kunden. Von der öffentlichen Straße aus wird das transparente Gebäude als Ausstellung für Traktoren und Mähdrescher erkannt. Das Gebäude schließt an das bestehende Museum an und wird zwischen Museum und Ausstellung betreten. Über die Infothek und einen Info-/Wartebereich kommt man in die Ausstellung. Die weiteren Nutzungen wie Kinderbetreuung, Kino, Zugang zur Galerie, auf der sich der Cateringbereich und die Meetingräume befinden, erfolgt komplett aus dem Eingangs-, Warte- und Infobereich. Über die Rampe der Fuge eröffnet sich der Blick auf die gesamte Ausstellung für Kunden und Besucher. Sie führt in das Obergeschoss des Cateringbereiches und gibt gleichzeitig vielfältige und beeindruckende Blicke auf die Ausstellung frei. Die unterschiedlichsten Arten der Messen, Events und Veranstaltungen erhalten hiermit die optimalen Ausstellungsbedingungen.
