Das Gebäude mit Satteldach ist zweigeschossig mit einem überhohen Anbau, indem der Fechtraum untergebracht ist. Das bestehende Haus wurde im Jahre 2010 renoviert. 2011 erfolgte dann die Erweiterung mit drei zusätzlichen Studentenzimmern über dem bestehenden Fechtraum. Die Herausforderungen bei dieser Planungsaufgabe waren die problematische Andienungssituation des Gebäudes im gewachsenen Wohngebiet, die zeitlichen Vorgaben, sowie die große Raumhöhe im Fechtraum, die erhalten werden musste. Das Satteldach des Fechtraumes wurde abgerissen und durch eine Brettstapeldecke ersetzt. Darauf wurde das Obergeschoss mit Holzständer-Fertigteilen errichtet. Durch die Vorfertigung konnte die terminlichen Vorgaben erfüllt, sowie die räumlichen Schwierigkeiten in der Andienung gelöst werden.
